“See you tomorrow.” That's Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's words to the exco members, state officers and his office staff members as he was taken away by several officers from the MACC. Lim was seen leaving Komtar at around 6.30 pm after an exco meeting. Accompanying him were a few MACC officers in the CM's car.
According to his former political secretary, MP for Tanjong Ng Wei Aik, Lim has been arrested by the MACC and will be charged at the session court tomorrow (Thursday 30 June). “He will likely be in the lock-up at the MACC Headquarter at Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah tonight.,” Ng said. It was informed that they are charging CM Lim for two counts – Section 23 of the MACC Act and Sec 165 of the Penal Code.
