Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan, the major shareholder of the Company, was appointed as Chairman of the Company on 2 April 2001.

He is a businessman and entrepreneur with varied interest in property development and investment, gaming, stock broking, manufacturing, trading, hospitality, internet-related businesses, utilities, media, telecommunications, insurance and education through various public and private companies namely, Berjaya Corporation group of companies, Matrix International Berhad, MOL.com Berhad, MOL Access Portal Berhad, Informatics Education Ltd, Intan Utilities Berhad, U Television Sdn Bhd and Sun Media Corporation Sdn Bhd.

He is a member of The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants. Having articled with Messrs Peat Marwick Mitchell (now known as KPMG) from 1975 to 1981, he subsequently joined Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank Berhad (now known as AmMerchant Bank Berhad) specialising in corporate finance until 1989 when he joined Berjaya Group Berhad.

Currently, he is an Executive Director of Berjaya Corporation Berhad and Berjaya Sports Toto Berhad. He is also the Chairman of Berjaya Holdings (HK) Limited and Matrix International Berhad, the Managing Director of Sun Media Corporation Sdn Bhd, a Director of Intan Utilities Berhad, Berjaya Vacation Club Berhad, Berjaya Group Berhad, Berjaya Capital Berhad and International Lottery & Totalizator Systems, Inc. United States of America. He also holds directorships in several other private limited companies

CHAN KIEN SING
Managing Director

He graduated from University of Malaya with a B.Agr.Sc degree and worked at the Department of Agriculture for three years. Subsequently he resigned to start his own contracting business, specializing in steel fabrication and erection.

He was the General Manager of Sports Toto Sdn Bhd for three years, seeing to its successful listing on the stock exchange. In 1989, he was made Managing Director and Joint Venture Partner of McDonald’s Malaysia. He sold off his shareholdings in McDonald’s in early 2006. Currently, he is the Advisor to Sports Toto Bhd and Wendy’s Malaysia, as well as a Director of several private companies.

Mohamed Shah was also a committee member of the AAM, President of the Malaysian Motor Sports Club for nine years, and President of the University of Malaya Agricultural Graduates Alumni (UMAGA) till 2007.

Director

He was appointed as Executive Director of 7-Eleven Malaysia Sdn Bhd from February 2007.

He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chemist and member of the Institute of Water and Environmental Management (UK). He graduated from University of Malaya with a B.Sc. degree in 1974 and B.Sc. (Hons) First Class in Chemistry in 1975. He also obtained the Executive MBA from Cranfield School of Management (UK) in 1988/89.

He joined Guinness (M) Berhad (now known as Guinness Anchor Berhad) and held management positions in line management, brewing, training, quality assurance, waste water management, purchasing, cost controls and commercial operations, in his 16 years of tenure. He subsequently joined Checker Asia (M) Sdn Bhd as General Manager from 1991 to 1995. He then helmed the finance and planning, information systems, real estate, construction and equipment, asset management, franchising, purchasing, quality assurance, legal, insurances, administration and security of McDonald’s Malaysia in his role as Executive Director from 1995 till 2003, further taking on a regional guidance and counseling role in 2002 before being appointed Executive Vice President from 2003 until he joined 7-Eleven® Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
