PAS sent condolence message for the sad demise of Sheikh Al-Azhar
Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) are deeply saddened by the death of Sheikh Al-Azhar, Sheikh Mohammed Sayed Tantawi. This is a great loss to the muslim community as a whole and we express our deepest condolences to Jamia Al-Azhar, the Government and the people of Egypt.
Sheikh Tantawi was the Grand Imam of the al-Azhar Mosque and Head of the al-Azhar University. He was 81 years old, died of a heart attack in the Saudi capital Riyadh yesterday.
