No amount of sloganeering and money-throwing can salvage BN's concept of "1Malaysia" any longer. The federal government has officially endorsed the practice of unequal treatment of East & West Malaysia by its decision to allow non-Muslims in East Malaysia to use the word "Allah", but a ban on the usage for non-Muslims in Peninsular Malaysia. No government should be allowed to use "Allah" to divide this nation and its people. This new ruling clearly shows that the "Allah" issue is a political issue championed by the BN government and not one about religion, race, language or culture. It is a ruling aimed at protecting the vote bank in East Malaysia, and shoring up the depleting BN power base in the Peninsular.
