Subang Light Industrial Park

Owners of factories in Subang Light Industrial Park organised a gotong-royong to clean up their surroundings. The gentleman wearing a blue cap standing next to me is Mr Richard Foo, the chairman of Persatuan Pemilik Hartanah Subang Light Industrial Park. This effort is a result of one Industrial Park Management Committee (IPMC) in MPSJ which I will blog about later. I invited Mr Richard Foo to be part of the IPMC in MPSJ. More than 100 factory owners are represented by this association.

About 50 industrial owners and their workers participated in this cleaning up effort. MPSJ officer, JKP Zone 4 members, Alam Flora workers and Bomba were also present.

I was told by the owners that the area has not been cleaned for years! MPSJ was on site with me during the walkabout in the area and they will be taking action on the outstanding issues.

IPMC is now focusing on educating industrial owners on the collection of production waste. Alam Flora only collects domestic waste. Industrial owners need to pay extra for collection of their production waste. Click here for more details.
