Shuhaimi denies quitting or avoiding the media

SHAH ALAM, Jan 12 – Beleaguered Sri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafiei today denied that he was “running away” from the media or that he has quit as a lawmaker.
Shuhaimi appeared for the first time since Friday to have his statement recorded at the district police headquarters here over reports lodged against him for sedition by pro-Umno groups.
“I am not running away from the media,” Shuhaimi told reporters today.
“Rumours that I am running away from the media are all just lies,” he said, adding that he had just returned from Indonesia two days ago.
