KUALA LUMPUR 4 Okt.- Penasihat Parti Gerakan, Tun Dr. Lim Keng Yaik mengumumkan beliau meletak jawatan hari ini kerana tidak berpuas hati dengan sikap presiden yang takut melibatkan diri dalam sebarang konflik.
Katanya,beliau akan menyerahkan surat letak jawatannya kepada ibu pejabat esok.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 — Former Gerakan president Tun Dr Lim Keng Yaik said today he would be resigning this week as the party adviser because of disappointment over Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon’s tendency to “bury his head in the sand.”
Amid a party revolt in Penang, the Barisan Nasional (BN) party’s former stronghold, Lim’s announcement today could spark a major revolt against Koh’s leadership of the party.
“He is someone who hates getting involved in solving conflicts for fear of offending people,” he told reporters at a press conference today.
The former Cabinet veteran said Dr Koh’s attitude of speaking no evil and burying his head in the sand had brought about many problems in the party.
